A Few things to Remember...
1. Absences: If your child is absent or tardy, please send in a doctor's note or an explanation of why your child was absent/late. If not, the absence will be marked unexcused. Please encourage your child to make every effort to attend school every day and BE ON TIME! It is difficult to make up for the class time that is lost.
2. Homework: Homework includes nightly reading and math. Social studies and writing homework may be sent home 1-2 times per week. Be sure to check your child's planner every day to see which assignments are due the following day. We thank you for your help in the homework area and for helping instill good habits and responsibility in our children! Please see the homework page for more information.
3. Birthday/Treats: Due to our new Wellness Policy we are a food free school. Therefore, we are no longer accepting any edible birthday treats. Feel free to bring in non-edible treats such as pencils, erasers, bookmarks, stickers, etc.
4. Medication: If your child needs to take medication for any reason, you must bring it to the office. Your child should not bring it on the bus or in his/her backpack. All medication requires proper documentation to be completed and on file in the office at all times.
5. Volunteers: If you would like to volunteer in our room, please let me know what days and times you are available. Volunteers/visitors are always welcome. Your help is needed with stuffing THT folders, copying, and tutoring 1-on-1 with students.
6. Lunch Visitors: We would love for you to join us for lunch. We eat lunch at 10:45 Just be sure to let us know if you are buying so we can let the cafeteria know. All adult lunches are $3.15.
7. Snack: This year we will not have snack due to our early lunch time. Only water will be allowed in the classroom after breakfast has finished.
